My boyf used to express great concern for my bicycle riding ways. He tried to get me to use one of those horrid robotic-looking red blinking lights, but I demurred that it would ruin my aesthetic. I believe that I have managed to come up with a solution that will please us both.

I saw the most beautiful aquatic bird by the river today so I cast off my shoes and waded in although I was still in my party gown. Thank goodness I had my vintage camera with me!

this delicate butter-fly, together with the rosettes on my frock, symbolizes the hope I have for life’s renewal and change! happy new year, my darlings!

I couldn’t choose just one book to read at the beach, so I brought my entire collection! I also prefer to lay on the beach in my day-to-day clothing, as I believe that it is a more pure way to experience the simplicity of the moment.
“To enter, tell us: which animal do you identify with, real or fantastical, and why?
Do I even need to answer that question?! ;) I identify with unicorns because they are self-reliant, highly individualistic animals. Colorful, whimsical, exuding GLEE and optimism! They get along well with people and other animals but, in the end, are loners – it’s uni-corn, meaning ‘one’. I often feel like a misfit who charges forth nonetheless.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself…
I know that most of my brethren on this lovely blog happen to be of the female gender, but all you ladies who pine for a boy whose whimsy is unmatched need not fret - we exist, too! We’re just hiding behind plants wearing blankets and fur-tails-as-loincloths most of the time. We like to always be one with nature, even amidst the buildings of the big city. Next time you see us at a rooftop party, come over and introduce yourself. It could be the start of something wonderful…
It may come as no surprise to my loyal readers that Yuletide is my most cherished time of year. For a brief moment, it seems that all the world is alive with the magick of winter spirits. Yesterday, I adorned my crown of holly with festive candies and traipsed about in the feathery hills of newly fallen snow. Tonight I’m preparing a mulled wine for my annual viewing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (the Original).
